would be awesome if we got this game populated again.. Someone of the mods or admins could try to talk to steam. It's a free game and classic fun!

If that's really the only reason, then that isn't true I don't think. Lots of games on Steam are dead, with less players than this game. I own like 150 and so many of them used to be populated but just wound up having no one online within a week.

and playerbase doesn't change the fact that it should be on steam lol. enormous or small = nope

That does nothing. Having games on the store is where pretty much all of the publicity comes from.

i've had friends on steam asking me about what is boutcheetah, and how they're going to give it a try but they never do

so it kinda is the more people you have on your friendlist = better advertising?
