Merc on lv 70

Okay so when I used to play on level 70 my merc would always shoot at the machine boss at the end whenever I started to combo it but it does not anymore. Was there an update so the mercs dont do that anymore or am I doing something wrong???

I never saw any mercs hitting that boss..

I had the arsenal merc and when I would combo it would shoot like a whole bunch of 45's and would help on the machine boss. I tried today and nothing.

Um k its working again somehow I guess it was lag or something but thats wierd.
